At the Nasho Basic Military Training Center in the Kirehe area, more than 3,000 RDF soldiers, including senior officers, junior officers, and other ranks, successfully completed a six-month advanced infantry training (AIT).
On behalf of RDF Commander-in-Chief H.E. President Paul Kagame, the RDF Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Lt Gen Mubarakh Muganga, presided over the graduation ceremony.
The CDS praised the graduates for their significant accomplishment, commitment, and discipline and urged them to maintain the spirit in his remarks.
He also praised the training center’s leadership, particularly the teachers who put in a lot of effort to mold students’ talents and abilities into capable leaders for the RDF and the nation.
The training’s top student overall, Maj Cyrile Cyubahiro, stated that the information she had learned would help her and the RDF in general carry out their duties.
Advanced Infantry Training is intended to enhance the capabilities of regular infantry so they may successfully carry out infantry missions while completing RDF objectives.
