Re: Invitation to Pre-ToT and ToT on the remedial Program for national Examination Candidates
The Ministry of Education (MINEDUC) recently published Ministerial Instructions governing National Examinations, stating that candidates will receive a certificate if they achieve an average weighted percentage
of at least 50% in the National Examinations. While initially applied to Senior 6 Examinations, this passing criterion will also apply to all level of National Examinations starting in the 2024/25 academic year.
Additional support will be provided to students facing challenges in their studies to help them deepen their learning and develop the required competences to progress to the next level of education
.
To address this need, the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB) and the National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA), has developed a remedial
Program. This program is specifically designed to assist students preparing for the 2024/2025 National Examinations by focusing on improving performance in key subjects through tailored interventions.
It is in this context that the Rwanda Basic Education Board is honored to invite master trainers from your District in the attached list to participate in the Pre-ToT, ToT and Orientation for teachers on the remedial
Program. The Pre-TOT will take place from 16h to 17h January 2025, at Highland School, Bugesera District. The TOT and orientation will take place on 18h to 19th January 2025 in training center indicated in the attachment.
The objective of these sessions is to equip trainers with the necessary skills and strategies to support the successful implementation of the program.
