Héritier Luvumbu Nzinga, a Congolese forward striker, arrived in Rwanda on Wednesday and is likely to sign a one-year contract with the Blues.
Luvumbu returns to Rayon Sports after leaving the club in July 2021 to join Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto in Angola, where he didn’t have enough time to play before leaving.
In 2014, the 29-year-old was on form with his native club AS Vita Club of DRC, while in 2017, he was on form with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise of Belgium.
Luvumbu joined Morocco’s Association Sportive des Forces Armées Royales (AS FAR) in 2018, and Club Athletic Youssoufia Berrechid in 2019.
Aside from Luvumbu, Rayon Sports is still looking to recruit a few more players to the club in order to construct a good team.
Rayon Sports is fifth on the leaderboard with 28 points after the first leg games of the season, only two points behind the table’s leaders.
