It was discovered that Jean Pierre Bemba Gombo, who had been denouncing Moïse Katumbi as a foreigner for a while, was actually a Portuguese.
It has also been made public that the DRC’s Minister of Defense, Jean Pierre Bemba Gombo, is from Portugal. Gombo had long targeted Moïse Katumbi Chapwe, the candidate for president, by claiming that he is a foreigner.
These were revealed by Moïse Katumbi Chapwe during an RFI interview. He was questioned on if he truly is a foreigner, as President Tshisekedi and other officials have long maintained, as well as Jean Pierre Bemba Gombo.
He answered, “They tend to have more words than actions,” in response to this query. Thus, how do they interpret the presence of foreigners among the accusers?” Then, citing Jean Pierre Bemba Gombo as an example, he claimed that Gombo was a native of Portugal. He went on to remark, “If everyone looked at what they had to do and stopped talking, our country would really progress, relying on the people will not save Congo, no, but their work will make it progress.”
The DRC’s Equateur Province is home to Bokada, where Jean Pierre Bemba Gombo was born on November 4, 1962.
