Onika Tanya Maraj-Pretty, a.k.a. Nicki Minaj, an American rapper, has revealed how popular singer Lil Wayne inspired her to undergo plastic surgery to augment her body parts.
Minaj 40 revealed in a talk sponsored by her fellow rapper Joe Budden that it all started with Lil Wayne’s attitude, who used to mock her about not having as large hips as other superstars her age.
“He started it as a joke, but the more he repeated it, the more I felt the need to do something, much as he is an artist I look up to,” she explained.
Minaj and Lil Wayne have been on the same label for a long time, beginning with Cash Money Records and now with Young Money, which is controlled by Lil Wayne himself.
Overall, Minaj regrets “having acted, just to please people” and wishes she could have remained natural.
