Ishimwe, who was born in Kigali, went to Norway when he was four years old. He played for Tromso, Tromsdalen, and Fram Larvik before being discovered by Arsenal scouts, who signed him.
The teenager is eligible to play for both Rwanda and Norway, but he has yet to be called up to either international team.
