In Nhdiwa Sub County, Homa Bay County, a 29-year-old secondary school teacher was arrested for allegedly defiling his 16-year-old female student.
The teacher, who works at Nyamogo Girls Secondary School in Ndhiwa Sub-county, was apprehended by Ndhiwa police personnel.
The teacher is accused of defiling the girl on several occasions since the beginning of the year.
He is said to use cakes to entice women into sexual relationships.
According to the victim’s father, he realized the girl had been defiled by the teacher after she began showing signs of pregnancy. He then coordinated with police to have the teacher arrested.
The teacher is currently under interdiction, according to Ndhiwa Sub-county Police Commander Paul Rioba, due to additional cases of defilement.
The teacher is being held at the Ndhiwa Police Station while awaiting his arraignment on charges of defilement.
