Victor mbaoma, a Nigerian, commits to a two-year deal with APR FC.

Victor Mbaoma, a Nigerian striker who was instrumental in Katsina United’s advancement to the Nigeria Premier League, will start a new chapter in his career with Rwandan team APR FC.

Victor Mbaoma, a forward for the Super Eagles, has agreed to sign a two-year contract with APR of the Rwanda Premier League.

Mbaoma’s talent first became apparent while he was playing for Nigeria’s Enyimba FC, where he won praise for his outstanding performances. In a 2-1 loss to Mexico in 2021, he made his Super Eagles debut on the international stage. He also came on as a substitute against Ecuador.

Along with Mbaoma, APR is allegedly interested in Cameroonian striker Apam Assongwe, and Ugandan forward Taddeo Lwanga just signed a two-year deal. These possible signings show the club’s desire to compete on both the home and European stages as it works to bolster its roster.

APR has experienced success on the domestic front, but in recent years, they have had difficulty advancing to the group rounds of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.

Their resolve to have a bigger impact in next continental events is demonstrated by their ouster from the CAF Champions League in the second round last season and their first-round exit in 2020.

The club anticipates that Mbaoma’s impending arrival at APR will improve its attacking capabilities and boost its performance in both home and international games.

The squad will depend heavily on the Nigerian striker’s expertise and skill set as it works to maintain its dominance in the Rwanda Premier League and beyond.

Mbaoma, 27, had played for Akwa United and Remo Stars before moving abroad to play in Uzbekistan and Algeria.
