Ssekisambu and Osaluwe approach towards the AS Kigali action

With only a few days left before the transfer window ends, AS Kigali is closing in on Rayon Sports’ Raphael Osaluwe and former Kiyovu Sports forward Erisa Keith Ssekisambu.

Osaluwe was a crucial element of Rayon Sports whenever he was healthy, but his tenure there was hampered by injuries, especially in the 2022–2023 season. After learning that the new manager Yamen Zelfani preferred the Burundian midfield duo of Aruna Madjaliwa and Emmanuel Mvuyekure over the Nigerian, he is now close to signing for the Citizens.

Ssekisambu, on the other hand, was Kiyovu Sports’ top scorer last season with 10 league goals, but the team opted to let him go immediately after the 2022–23 campaign, so he became a free agent.

According to Times Sport, negotiations between AS Kigali and the two players are “in advanced stage,” and if the transactions go through, they could sign contracts prior to the transfer deadline.

In order to stabilise his club following a large player exodus, Andre Casa Mbungo may offer Ssekisambu a two-year contract while Osaluwe could accept a one-year loan agreement.

Osaluwe transferred from Bugesera to Rayon Sports in August 2022, earning a signing bonus of roughly Rwf10 million.

On the first day of the Rwanda Premier League, AS Kigali defeated Bugesera 1-0 before losing to Kiyovu 2-0 on Saturday at the Kigali Pele Stadium.
