According to Times Sport, APR FC is looking into loan agreements for Anicet Ishimwe and Yves Mugunga and is on the verge of losing a total of ten players.
After multiple unsuccessful attempts with local players, the military side has been active in the transfer market, signing a number of players who are anticipated to help the club reclaim its elite status at the continental level.
The Army club has reportedly chosen to let go of ten players, even underperforming ones, in order to balance its checkbook. To date, they have brought in six international players.
On Tuesday night, the club conducted a showdown meeting with the players, during which 10 players were informed that they were no longer in the plans of the organization.
With the exception of Bonheur Mugisha, who was released because Stade Tunisien gave him a contract, the club had to let go of captain Djabel Manishimwe because he had trouble getting playing time.
Other players who are expected to be released include Dieudonne Ndayishimiye, Aboubakar, Uwiduhaye, Blaise Itangishaka, Placide Rwabuhihi, Fiston I shimwe, Fabio Ndikumana, Keddy Nsanzimfura, who spent the 2022–23 season on loan at Marines, and Irshad Nsengimana.
Completes Amagaju move as a duo
Amagaju FC, a freshly promoted team in the Rwanda Premier League, has been active in the transfer market in an effort to strengthen their roster in preparation for the upcoming campaign.
The Nyamagabe-based team has announced the two-year contract signing of Eagle Noir of Burundi captain Massoud Narcisse.
In addition, they have a two-year deal with Nyandwi Jerome from the demoted Espoir.
Bugingo endorses Rayon
Rayon Sports has officially hired Gasogi United’s left-back Hakim Bugingo as the team continues to bolster its squad across the board.
After an outstanding season with Gasogi, who at first wanted to keep him for another season, Bugingo wowed Rayon.
The defender’s transfer might have been delayed because his contract was set to expire in October, but the Blues made every effort to complete the transaction before the start of the new season.
Innocent Twagirimana has signed a two-year contract with Etoile de l’Est elsewhere. He leaves Sunrise FC after five seasons and joins the top-flight newcomers.
Goalkeeper Pacifique Mahoro joined Sunrise FC on a three-year contract, and winger Frank Shema extended his tenure with the team by signing a new two-year deal.
