Dr. Gerardine Mukeshimana, Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources, has expressed confidence that the technologies farmers have begun to use in agriculture will enhance that industry, which is the backbone of the country’s economy.
She delivered the message to many stakeholders while officiating at the closing ceremony of the 15th annual farm expo.
The Agriculture Exhibition Showground in Mulindi, Gasabo district, hosted the Agri Show, which began on July 6 and will end on July 14.
The subject of this year’s Agri show is “Building Resilience in Agriculture Through Modern Technologies.”
According to the minister, the event drew more than 300 exhibitors and aimed to display visitors innovation and creativity while also connecting people with technologies and agriculture.
“Exhibitors displayed their technologies in a variety of categories, such as irrigation, seed production, animal feeding, harvesting, and post-harvesting handling.” “We believe that the technologies learned by farmers will benefit our sector, while farmers will benefit more from their agricultural production,” stated the Minister.
The minister thanked the exhibitors and spectators and recognized those who displayed advancements in agricultural and livestock technologies.
